Spring training session opportunity!
Save The Bay, in coordination with the Town of Rehoboth's Fish Warden, and the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries, is seeking volunteers to count river herring and American shad during the spring fish run on the Palmer River to determine the health of this migratory fish run.
Join Save The Bay and the Town's Fish Warden, Bill Dalpe, on Wednesday, April 8th at 5:30 pm at the fish ladder on Reed Street in Rehoboth for an in-person training.
Sign up for 10-minute observation periods from April 1st to May 31st on Save The Bay's Volunteer portal for a detailed step by step guide on how to monitor the fish run and the monitoring form. It is a fun and flexible monitoring opportunity, and you do NOT need to be a fish expert. It is quick and easy!
If you have any questions or difficulty registering on Save The Bay's volunteer portal, contact July Lewis at jlewis@savebay.org. Thank you!
